Glee’s Chord Overstreet Tweets Photo From Hospital Bed — UPDATE

UPDATE: Chord is now home from the hospital, as of May 1. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

The time has come to clutch your rosary beads (read: pearl necklace) and form a prayer circle, because Chord Overstreet (Sam) is in the hospital. We know, we know — try to offset the panic by singing a soulful rendition of Kumbaya.

The details of Chord's hospitalization remain somewhat shrouded in mystery, but we do know that this Gleek superstar had to get a spinal tap. Because he told us. And tweeted a really adorable photo of himself in a hospital gown.

"Had to get a spinal tap in the hospital," Chord tweeted on April 30. "Not fun! #hatebeingthissick."

So, what is a spinal tap, exactly? It's a not-so-simple diagnostic procedure in which cerebrospinal fluid (aka spine goo) is collected for analysis. The most common reason for getting a spinal tap is suspected meningitis, a serious medical condition.

As far as we know, Chord was healthy as a horse on April 23 while filming Glee's season finale. Things started to go downhill around April 27, when he posted a picture of some gatorade with the caption "Best way to get over being sick. Got Gatorade?!"

Who knows what's going on in this hunk's hot bod, but we blame his bangs. Clearly they are rebelling against him.

Make sure to keep Chord in your thoughts and wish him a swift recovery!
