UPDATE: Though nothing is official yet, The Hollywood Reporter says that Blake, Jacob Artist (Jake), Melissa Benoist (Marley) and Becca Tobin (Kitty) are all "expected to return" next year.

Last year’s Glee Project winner Blake Jenner has been blowing our minds all season as the charming but sensitive Ryder Lynn. But has he done enough to ensure a spot on Season 5?

So far, it appears that Naya Rivera (Santana), Lea Michele (Rachel), and Cory Monteith (Finn) will all be back. But as for everyone else? We’re not sure quite yet. However, Blake just dropped a big hint on the subject when discussing his Catfish storyline with The Hollywood Reporter.

“There's going to be a cliffhanger with Ryder's story,” Blake reveals about this week’s Season 4 finale. “It's not exactly concluded, and you'll see how that takes us into Season 5 with him.”
Did he just say Season 5?! That means he’ll most likely be back, right? Fingers crossed, people!

As for whether Blake wants to come back next year, there’s no real mystery there. “I hope so,” he says. “I don't know anything for sure, but I'm hoping I get to tell Ryder's story more in Season 5.” You and us both, Blake!

So it would seem as though Blake has a pretty solid shot of returning next season. Of course, as we all know, predicting which Glee Project champs will get extended runs on the show is not for the faint of heart.

We were certain that Glee Project Season 1 co-winner Damian McGinty (Rory) would get asked back this season, but he’s been M.I.A. since Season 3, save for a brief appearance during the Christmas episode.

And his fellow co-winner Samuel Larsen (Joe) is still on the show but has lately been relegated to blink-and-you’ll-miss-him cameos.

Let’s hope the future is brighter for Blake and his beautiful, beautiful hair.
